He was preceded in death by his parents; son Vernon Menke; brothers William Menke and Henry “Hank” Menke; son-in-law Elmer Williams; sister Mary Mineman; father-in-law and mother-in-law William and Augusta Schmidt; grandchildren Diane Menke, Donna Menke, Brian Menke and Bradley Menke; and two great-grandchildren. Menke was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church of Waterloo and Monroe County Farm Bureau. A funeral service was at Immanuel Lutheran Church, Pastor Tony Troup officiating. She was born April 27, 1909, in Advance, Mo., the daughter of the late Frederick and Clara Bock nee Sparfield.

He enjoyed woodworking, particularly furniture-making and caning. Visitation and a funeral service will be held at Lawlor Funeral Home, Fr. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society of Monroe County.

He was a member of American Legion Post #581 in Columbia. He was preceded in death by his grandmother Clara Baltz and sister Mary Ann Schumacher.

Schaefer nee Karban, 85, of Waterloo, formerly of Millstadt, died Dec.

13, 1921, in Paderborn, the daughter of the late Henry and Josephine Karban nee Kronenberger.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Loretta Frazier and granddaughter Dianne Morton. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star – Rob Morris Chapter in Fairview Heights and Columbia Senior Citizens, and was a volunteer at the American Red Cross blood banks.

Weisenborn is survived by her children Gloria Morton of Belleville, Florence Farmer of Columbia, Wayne (Jo Ann) Weisenborn of Columbia, Barbara (Ed) Schutte of Columbia, and Harold Weisenborn of Overland Park, Kan.; 14 grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; and great-great grandchild; and other relatives and friends. Louis, the daughter of the late Erwin Leroy and Sophie Louise Harvey nee Schonhoff. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and siblings Harold Harvey, Edith Brem, Burton Harvey, Lillian Buatte and Elsie Staley. Rehg was a member of Concordia United Church of Christ in Belleville. Visitation and a funeral service were at Strauss Funeral Home in Millstadt. He was married to the late Mildred “Millie” Gasser nee Roberts for more than 50 years. Gasser is survived by his sister Delores Eddy of Carlinville and companion Lola Pancini of Shawnee, Okla.

Rehg is survived by her sister Mary Egbert of Millstadt, and several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. 21, 1915, in Floraville, the son of the late Otto and Frieda Gasser nee Bryant.

A memorial service was held at Lawlor Funeral Home, Pastor Jared Parker of Christ Community Lutheran Church officiating.
